Nina Kimbrough

Mr. Potato King's Author is a passionate storyteller and proud descendant of Junius G. Groves, the "Potato King of the World"

Inspired by her great-great uncle's incredible journey from humble beginnings to national fame as one of the wealthiest African American farmers of his time. Nina wrote her first book, "Mr. Potato King", to share his story with her grandchildren and young readers.

With a heart for family and a love for encouraging others, Nina hopes this book will motivate children to dream big, work hard, and trust in the power of perseverance and faith.

Nina enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, her 88-year-old mother, Mary Kimbrough (the family historian), traveling, and mission work with her loving and supportive husband Kevin. She also loves hanging out with family and friends, passing down stories of family legacy, gardening, singing, and instilling the importance of giving back to the community.
